Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Truck Drivers USA collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal information when you use the website, create an account, search for jobs or driver resumes, submit a post, report content, contact us, or purchase a paid service. By using the website, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed through Truck Drivers USA and the services provided through the website.

It applies to visitors, registered users, drivers, employers, recruiters, carriers, companies, users who submit job posts or driver resumes, users who report content, users who contact the administration, and users who purchase paid website services.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use.

2. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use the website.

Information associated with a registered account may include:

  • your name received through Google Sign-In;
  • your email address received through Google Sign-In;
  • your Google account identifier used to associate your Google authentication with your website account;
  • your Google profile picture when it is provided through Google Sign-In;
  • account creation and update dates;
  • last login information;
  • account status and other information necessary to operate your website account.

Information submitted when creating a job post or driver resume may include:

  • company, recruiter, or driver name;
  • phone number and extension;
  • email address when voluntarily added to a post;
  • website address when voluntarily added;
  • city and state;
  • job title or desired position;
  • post description;
  • pay information;
  • routes and freight information;
  • schedule and home-time information;
  • license type and license state;
  • driving experience;
  • equipment experience;
  • endorsements, credentials, qualifications, requirements, benefits, work authorization, availability, and other information voluntarily included in the post.

When you contact us or report a post, we may collect the information you submit with that request, including your name, email address, message, information identifying the reported post, and other information necessary to review and respond to the request.

Our servers may also receive standard technical information associated with website access, including IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, referring information, session information, security events, and technical error or diagnostic information.

We do not require users to submit Social Security numbers, bank account credentials, payment card numbers, account passwords, or similar highly sensitive information in job posts or driver resumes. Do not publish this type of information in a post.

3. Google Sign-In

User authentication is provided through Google Sign-In.

When you choose to sign in with Google, Google authenticates your Google account and provides the website with information authorized for the sign-in process, including your name, email address, Google account identifier, and profile picture.

We use this information to create or identify your website account, maintain your authenticated session, display account information, secure account access, and provide account-related features.

We do not receive or store your Google account password.

Google processes information under its own terms and privacy policies. Removing the connection between your Google account and the website through Google does not automatically delete information already stored in your website account. Website account deletion is available separately through the Delete Account page.

4. Job Posts, Driver Resumes, and Published Information

Job posts and driver resumes are user-submitted content intended to be found through website search and viewed on individual post pages.

Information that you intentionally include in a post may therefore be displayed to other users who find that post through search or open its individual page.

This may include names, company names, phone numbers, email addresses, websites, locations, employment information, qualifications, compensation information, and other information voluntarily included by the author.

Do not include personal information in a job post or driver resume unless you want that information displayed as part of the post. Never include Social Security numbers, financial account information, passwords, authentication codes, full driver's license numbers, or other highly sensitive information.

The author of a post is responsible for the information submitted through that post and for ensuring that the author has the right to publish it.

A user may delete posts belonging to that user's account through the available account controls.

Any user may report a post from the individual post page or from search results. Information submitted with a report is used to review the reported content, enforce our Terms of Use, prevent abuse, and respond to legal or safety concerns.

5. Payment Information and Stripe

Paid website services are processed through Stripe.

Payment card information is submitted to and processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers, card security codes, or full payment card credentials on the website.

Stripe may process information necessary to complete a payment, verify a payment method, prevent fraud, process refunds or disputes, and comply with financial and legal requirements.

We may receive and retain limited payment and transaction information from Stripe, such as:

  • payment or transaction status;
  • amount and currency;
  • purchased service or package;
  • payment, checkout, customer, or transaction identifiers;
  • payment dates;
  • refund, cancellation, or dispute status;
  • information necessary to activate, maintain, or expire a paid website service.

Stripe maintains its own privacy and security practices, including payment-data protections based on payment industry security standards.

Purchasing a promoted, featured, sponsored, or other paid service does not provide the purchaser with access to private account information belonging to other users.

6. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information only for purposes connected with operating, protecting, administering, and improving the website and providing requested services.

These purposes include:

  • creating and maintaining user accounts;
  • authenticating users;
  • maintaining website sessions;
  • allowing users to create, edit, manage, and delete posts;
  • displaying job posts and driver resumes in search results and individual post pages;
  • providing search functionality;
  • processing paid website services;
  • determining the active period and status of paid services;
  • processing reports and complaints;
  • responding to contact requests;
  • providing account, service, payment, security, and administrative communications;
  • preventing spam, fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents;
  • enforcing our Terms of Use;
  • diagnosing technical problems;
  • maintaining and improving website reliability and performance;
  • complying with applicable legal obligations and valid legal requests;
  • protecting the rights, safety, security, and property of users, the website, and others.

7. Cookies and Session Information

The website uses cookies and similar browser storage where necessary to operate website features, maintain sessions, support authentication, protect forms and account actions, remember temporary state, and provide security-related functionality.

A session cookie may be required to keep you signed in and associate requests with your current website session.

You may block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies required for authentication or session management may prevent account login or cause other website features to stop working correctly.

We do not use cookies to sell personal information to third parties.

8. When Information May Be Disclosed

We do not provide users' personal information to unrelated third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

Limited information may be processed or disclosed when necessary for the following purposes:

  • Google authentication and account sign-in;
  • Stripe payment processing, fraud prevention, refunds, disputes, and payment administration;
  • hosting, infrastructure, email delivery, security, technical support, and other service providers necessary to operate the website;
  • responding to valid subpoenas, court orders, warrants, government requests, or other legal obligations;
  • investigating fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our Terms of Use;
  • protecting the rights, safety, security, or property of users, the website, or other persons;
  • establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.

Service providers receive only information reasonably necessary for the services they perform and process that information subject to their applicable contractual, legal, security, and privacy obligations.

Information intentionally published by a user in a job post or driver resume is treated differently from private account information because the user submitted that information for display through the website.

9. We Do Not Sell Personal Information

We do not sell personal information.

We do not rent or trade personal information.

We do not provide private account information to third parties for their independent advertising or marketing purposes.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Use of Google for authentication, Stripe for payment processing, or technical service providers necessary to operate the website is not a sale of personal information by us. These providers process limited information to perform the services requested from them.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, to provide requested services, maintain security, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain required records, and comply with legal obligations.

Account information may be retained while the account remains active.

Post information may be retained while the post remains active or stored as part of the user's account and may be removed when the user deletes the post or when the website removes the post under the Terms of Use.

Contact requests, reports, security records, payment records, and technical logs may be retained for a reasonable period after the related activity when needed for administration, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, security, legal compliance, or enforcement.

Some information may remain temporarily in backups or technical systems until those systems are overwritten or securely retired through normal retention processes.

Information may also be retained for a longer period when required by law, necessary to comply with a legal obligation, or reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

11. Account and Post Deletion

Registered users may delete their own website account through the Delete Account page.

The account deletion page provides information about the deletion action before the user confirms it.

Deleting your website account does not delete your Google account and does not control information independently retained by Google.

Deleting a website account also does not require Stripe, banks, payment networks, or other independent service providers to delete records that they are legally or operationally required to retain.

Users may separately delete posts belonging to their account using the available post-management controls.

A deletion request may be subject to limited exceptions where retention is required or permitted by applicable law, including for security, fraud prevention, payment records, legal obligations, disputes, or enforcement of agreements.

12. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply, you may have rights concerning personal information associated with you.

These rights may include the right to:

  • request information about personal information we maintain about you;
  • request access to certain personal information;
  • request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • request deletion of certain personal information;
  • obtain certain personal information in a portable format where required by law;
  • opt out of certain processing activities where applicable;
  • appeal certain privacy-request decisions where applicable law provides that right;
  • exercise privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.

Some account and content information can be managed directly through website account controls.

Privacy requests that cannot be completed through account controls may be submitted through the Contacts page.

We may need to verify that the person making a request is the person to whom the requested information relates. Verification may require information reasonably necessary to match the request with the relevant account or records.

We may deny, limit, or modify a request where permitted by applicable law, including when we cannot reasonably verify the requester, when an exception applies, or when information must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or other permitted purposes.

13. California Privacy Notice

Subject to the requirements and exceptions of California law, California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information and to receive information regarding categories of personal information collected, sources, purposes, and disclosures.

Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no sale or such sharing for a user to opt out of under our current practices.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against a user for exercising an applicable California privacy right.

California privacy requests may be submitted through the Contacts page.

14. Children's Privacy

The website is intended for adults and is not directed to children.

Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account or submit content under our Terms of Use.

We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13.

If we learn that personal information was collected from a child in circumstances requiring deletion under applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete the information.

A parent, guardian, or other person who believes a child has submitted personal information to the website may contact us through the Contacts page.

The website does not permit adult or age-restricted content and does not collect personal information for the purpose of providing access to adult content.

15. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, acquisition, use, alteration, loss, destruction, or disclosure.

Security measures are selected based on the nature of the website, the information processed, reasonably foreseeable risks, available technology, and applicable legal requirements.

We also use third-party service providers for functions such as authentication and payment processing that maintain their own security programs and protections.

No website, network, database, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security of information.

Users are responsible for protecting access to their Google account, devices, browsers, and other systems they use to access the website.

Where applicable law requires notification following a qualifying security incident or data breach, required notifications will be provided in accordance with applicable law.

16. Do Not Track and Privacy Preference Signals

Some browsers provide a traditional Do Not Track, or DNT, setting. There is no single generally applicable technical standard requiring all websites to interpret traditional DNT signals in the same way.

Separate browser-based privacy preference signals may have legal significance under certain state privacy laws.

We honor legally required opt-out preference signals to the extent required by applicable law.

Under our current practices, we do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. As a result, there is currently no such sale or sharing for a browser opt-out signal to disable.

17. International Users

The website is operated for a United States-focused service. Users accessing the website from another country understand that information may be processed or stored in the United States or other locations where service providers operate.

Privacy and data-protection laws may differ between jurisdictions.

Where applicable law gives an international user specific privacy rights, requests may be submitted through the Contacts page.

18. Third-Party Websites and Services

The website may contain links to websites, companies, employers, recruiters, payment services, authentication services, or other third parties.

We do not control the privacy practices of independent third parties.

When you leave the website or interact directly with an independent third-party service, that service's privacy policy and terms apply to the information it collects.

This Privacy Policy does not govern information independently collected and controlled by Google, Stripe, an employer, a recruiter, a driver, or another third party.

20. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when website features, payment services, authentication methods, data practices, legal requirements, or operational practices change.

The current version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.

Material changes may also be communicated through the website or another appropriate method when required by applicable law.

Your continued use of the website after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acknowledgement of the updated Policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.

21. Contact and Privacy Requests

Questions about this Privacy Policy, requests concerning personal information, privacy complaints, account-data questions, or concerns about information published through the website may be submitted through the Contacts page.

Requests concerning removal of a specific user post may also be submitted using the report option available in search results or on the individual post page.

Registered users who want to delete their account may use the Delete Account page.

Rules governing use of the website are available in the Terms of Use.
